2016 Healthfair Outreach Team - Day 2 at Awe

Our Approach

AOOF is a grassroots community service nonprofit organization driven by a passion to make things better for those that are in most need.  Our services are delivered by true volunteers locally and abroad, and supporters that share the vision to expand access to healthcare and education in remote locations of the world.

We understand the terrain we support because we engage the citizens directly and have a 13 year history of outstanding success. We have built a relationship of trust with our supporters because no officer of AOOF derives any financial or material gains from the organization.

Our vision is to raise the overall standard of living in every remote/rural community we serve by significantly improving healthcare access for citizens through free heath fairs, and significantly improving the the path to progress and development by providing scholarships and other educational support for deserving students at all levels of the educational spectrum.

Our Story

Abel Ogundokun Odeleye - The Life & The Legacy

To dad, community service was a calling. His life was about lifting people up, and providing them with opportunities.  At the peak of his professional career in 1976, he left a life of affluence to dedicate his life to this calling and live amongst his people. Testimonies by those he touched over a lifetime abound about his impactful influences in their lives.

When he passed in 2003, his last will was to use all he had and would have in the service of the people of Ilora and the AFIJIO communities.  He committed the proceeds of his last book to the establishment of a foundation dedicated to promoting the education of our youths and service to our community.

He did his part. He left us a legacy of living for a cause higher than ourselves.  It is in this spirit that we ask like-minded people and organizations to join us in making a difference in a small corner of our world.
